Car Lease Payment Calculator

Estimate a car lease's monthly payment from the negotiated price, residual value, lease term and money factor.

This calculator provides an estimate for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional financial, mechanical or engineering advice.

A lease payment has two parts: a depreciation fee (the vehicle's expected loss in value spread over the term) and a finance fee (based on the money factor). Adding them gives the estimated monthly payment before tax.

Example

  • With the default values shown above, this calculator returns: Monthly Depreciation Fee ≈ USD 416.67; Monthly Finance Fee (Rent Charge) ≈ USD 68.75; Monthly Payment (Before Tax) ≈ USD 485.42.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a money factor?

The money factor is the lease's financing charge expressed as a small decimal. To estimate the equivalent APR, multiply the money factor by 2400 (and divide an APR by 2400 to estimate the money factor).

Does this include sales tax?

No, this shows the payment before tax. Many places add sales tax on top of the monthly payment, so check your local rules.
