Why is there a 1.54 factor?
Wet, compacted concrete volume is about 1.54 times the volume of the dry, loose ingredients combined, since dry materials have air gaps that get filled during mixing — this factor converts your target wet volume into the dry material volume needed.
What does a mix ratio like 1:2:4 mean?
